Reporting directly to Dr. Meyerer, the role includes providing high-quality care to small animals, performing diagnostics and surgeries, educating pet owners, and collaborating closely with experienced staff. We are proud to offer a modern, well-equipped facility that supports high-quality patient care and advanced diagnostics. Our clinic utilizes the Cornerstone software and offers Digital Radiography (X-ray), Clarius Color Doppler Ultrasound with AI-assisted technology, Comprehensive In-House Laboratory (Abaxis and AlphaION Diagnostics systems), Advanced Diagnostic Capabilities, including hematology and culture/sensitivity testing, and K-Laser Therapy for pain management and healing.

Requirements

Florida vet externship requirements are simple and consistent across most programs: you must be an enrolled veterinary student and meet basic health and safety criteria.

Core requirements:
-Current enrollment in an AVMAaccredited DVM program (usually 3rd or 4th year). 
-Common health and safety requirements

Additional expectations:
Professional conduct and fulltime attendance during the externship.
