Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our animal patients, ensuring their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures.
- Provide nursing care and support to hospitalized patients.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic and surgical areas.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering of supplies.
- Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent.
- Current state licensure as a Veterinary Technician.
- years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in using veterinary software and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
