Animal ER of the Western Slope | Grand Junction, CO
Animal ER of the Western Slope is a locally owned emergency clinic expanding toward 24/7 coverage. We currently serve nights, weekends, and holidays.
We’re building the ER we wish we trained in. This is not corporate medicine. No production pressure. No “figure it out alone” culture. No absentee ownership.
- Owners are actively on shift
- Real mentorship—on cases and in surgery
- New grads and transitioning GP vets are welcome. You’ll start on swing shifts and always work alongside an experienced ER veterinarian.
- Owners are available 24/7 for backup
- Complex case? Unfamiliar surgery? Second set of eyes at 2am? You will always have support.
- Learn new surgeries safely
- Want to attempt a procedure you haven’t done before? We accommodate learning cases with mentorship—not judgment.
- With no major referral center within 200 miles, you’ll practice true emergency medicine and rapidly expand your skill set.
Who We’re Looking For
- Veterinarians excited by emergency medicine
