Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center (VSEC) in Westchester County, Mamaroneck, NY is looking for a emergency veterinarians to join our new 24/7 hospital.
Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center is a 100% veterinarian-owned, private specialty and emergency hospital opening in spring 2026. Our team includes board-certified specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and experienced emergency clinicians. Our team is actively growing.
This unique position offers the opportunity to:
- Work at a 100% veterinarian-owned practice (no private equity groups, no large corporations).
- Establish a new Emergency service, including your highly valued input into scheduling and day-to-day service operations.
- Be a founding team member, and help establish a hospital culture of continued learning, positivity, and work-life balance.
Benefits include:
- Salary $200,000-225,000 commensurate with experience

Our newly renovated 15,000 square foot space is equipped with brand new endoscopy, CT, stationary and portable ultrasound units, fully equipped ICU with oxygen kennels, high flow oxygen and ventilation capability, a dedicated special procedures room, full in-house laboratory including digital cytology, and ample space for hosting CE.
The hospital’s 3rd floor rooftop has a staff picnic area with a view of the Long Island Sound and Mamaroneck harbor, which is the perfect place to write records, have a meal, or take a break. Emphasis has been placed on a comfortable, cozy hospital design aesthetic, functionality, and natural light. The hospital is conveniently located directly across the street from multiple excellent restaurants, and is walking distance from busy downtown Mamaroneck.
Westchester, NY offers easy access via car or train to New York City or north to popular weekend nature destinations including upstate New York’s Catskill and Adirondack Mountains, New England, and popular ski destinations. The hospital’s location is commuter friendly, being walking distance from the Mamaroneck train station, with frequent trains via Metro North to Manhattan’s Grand Central Station and Connecticut. Westchester is well known for its excellent public school system.

Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Ability to be licensed to practice in the state of New York
- Rotating internship preferred. Other work experience may also be considered in lieu of internship. - Those that have not completed an internship, but wish to gain ER experience should inquire about a more focused mentorship program at VSEC.
