Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing veterinary practice. The ideal candidate is a general practitioner who is confident in providing high-quality medical care, enjoys working as part of a team, and is committed to excellent client communication and patient welfare.
This position is ideal for a veterinarian seeking a flexible, part-time schedule in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Schedule
- Part-time position: approximately 2 days per week
- Benefits and compensation will be prorated based on hours worked
Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Performing comprehensive patient examinations and diagnosing medical conditions
- Prescribing medications and developing appropriate treatment plans
- Providing preventive care, including vaccinations and wellness exams
- Performing general soft-tissue surgeries (spay/neuter and other routine procedures)
- Conducting dental examinations and dental procedures
- Interpreting diagnostic tests (bloodwork, radiographs, etc.)
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
- Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care
Qualifications
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in California
- Experience as a general practitioner preferred (new graduates welcome to apply)
- Proficiency in routine medical, surgical, and dental procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical veterinary practice and patient-centered care
