BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an experienced Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to work in our Urgent Care department. This position is for a Friday and Saturday shift from 11am-9pm.

Pay: $17.50 - 25.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system.

As a Part-Time Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant, you will:

• Provide high quality patient care.
• Monitor, manage and implement treatment plans as ordered by clinicians to insure prompt delivery of high-quality care to inpatient cases.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient condition to members of the patient care team.
• Collaborate with clinicians throughout the hospital to coordinate and prioritize patient care.
• Clean and maintain clinical areas including treatment and patient housing areas
• Facilitate the maintenance of clinical equipment by identifying malfunctioning equipment and scheduling service.
• Assist clinicians with procedures.
• Complete diagnostic testing as ordered by clinicians.
• Coach and mentor junior staff members as directed by supervisory staff.
