Sunray Animal Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to our fast-paced team.

Sunray Animal Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas. Brunswick, ME is home to Bowdoin College, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, the Peary-Macmillan Arctic Museum and the Maine State Music Theatre. Brunswick is one of the best foodie towns in Maine too! Cuisines from around the world as well as classic Maine seafood and farm-to-table fine dining are found in the many restaurants on Maine Street. Veterinary Assistant

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Executing treatment orders
• Performing blood draws
• Collecting urine samples void, express, cystocentesis
• Administering medications PO, IM, SQ, SL, IV
• Keeping cages clean and sanitized
• Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals
• Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage etc.)
• Communicating with clients via phone and in-person
• Taking Radiographs, CBC, Chem, LYTES, Perform and read urinalysis
• Restraining animals
• Outpatient procedures
• Filling prescribed medications
