Animal Medical Clinic of Fairburn is seeking a full-time Kennel Assistant who is passionate about animal care and excited to gain hands-on experience that leads to advancement as a Veterinary Assistant. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for anyone looking to start a long-term career in veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and doctors during appointments, including safe pet restraint
• Participate in structured training to develop veterinary assistant skills
• Check pets in and out of boarding and review paperwork with clients
• Walk dogs multiple times daily
• Maintain clean kennels, cages, and hospital grounds
• Feed, medicate, and monitor boarding pets
• Ensure all pets have clean water and a sanitary, comfortable environment
• Bathe or clean pets as needed before going home

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and genuine love for animals
• Ability to work some holidays and weekends (short kennel shifts)
• Self-starter who works well in a team
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
• Ability to safely restrain pets, with full training and guidance provided
• Friendly, enthusiastic communication with team members and clients
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interest in growing into a veterinary assistant role
