Description
Veterinarian – Feline-Only Shelter Medicine
Love cats? Want your veterinary skills to make a difference every single day?
Cat Adoption Team (CAT) has a rare opportunity for a veterinarian to join our team! Our full-service, onsite veterinary hospital provides high-quality, compassionate care exclusively to cats—and you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of hundreds of cats every year. The position will begin in October, but we’re accepting applications now. This opportunity is expected to fill quickly, so don’t wait to apply!
You’ll love working at CAT if you enjoy:
- Working exclusively with cats — zero dog wrestling required!
- A fast-paced, collaborative environment where your medical expertise can make a tremendous difference
- Minimal client interaction and approval conversations, allowing you to focus on patient care
- Purpose-driven medicine that directly improves the lives of cats in our community
- Working alongside a highly trained, supportive team that values collaboration, learning, and feline welfare
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate has high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) experience, enjoys feline dental procedures, and is excited about practicing medicine with a skilled team of Fear Free Certified veterinary paraprofessionals.
This is a high-volume, team-based environment, so we’re looking for a veterinarian who can lead, delegate, and maximize the skills of the entire medical team. The ability to prioritize effectively, make sound medical decisions, and keep patients moving through a busy hospital is essential.
Shelter medicine experience is a plus, but a passion for cats, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care are what matter most.
The Position
This is a full-time, salaried position with weekday, daytime hours. Our veterinarians enjoy a predictable schedule while working in a unique environment where every day brings the opportunity to improve the lives of cats.
CAT offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays
- Health insurance
- 403(b) retirement plan options
- Employee Assistance Program
- Additional employee perks and benefits
