- Associate Veterinarian | Supported, Busy (in a good way), and Actually Enjoyable Medicine
Description
We love what we do—but we need more hands on deck.
Heritage Animal Hospital is growing, and we’re looking to add a veterinarian (or two) to our team.
We are a privately owned, family-run, two-location practice that has been serving the Terre Haute community since 1976—and we’re proud to be celebrating 50 years of care. Over that time, we’ve built a strong client base, a dependable support team, and a collaborative environment where our doctors are never left to manage everything alone.
This is a place where you can practice high-quality medicine, feel supported, and still have a life outside of work—without the pressure of corporate structure or quotas.
What makes us different:
- You are not on an island — our doctors collaborate and support each other daily
- Strong, experienced support staff that helps keep your day efficient
- A busy but manageable caseload (no assembly-line medicine)
- Leadership that actively works to improve workflow and reduce stress
- Privately owned practice with flexibility and autonomy
- We are intentional about hiring the right fit, not just filling a position
What you’ll be doing:
- Wellness care, diagnostics, and case management
- Surgery and dentistry (based on your comfort level)
- Building relationships with a loyal and trusting client base
- Collaborating with a supportive and experienced team
Our facility:
- Digital radiology
- Ultrasound for advanced diagnostics
- Endoscopy
- In-house laboratory for timely results
- Comprehensive dental capabilities, including digital dental radiography
- Modern surgical equipment, including LigaSure
Compensation & benefits:
- Competitive salary with production/bonus opportunities
- Sign-on bonus
- Relocation support
- Paid time off
- Simple IRA with employer match
- Continuing education allowance
- Licensing fees and professional dues covered
We offer competitive and flexible compensation, with the ability to grow beyond the listed range based on experience and skillset.
Location:
- Terre Haute offers a lower cost of living, a slower pace outside of work, and convenient access to larger cities.
We’re busy, supported, and growing—and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.
