Georgia Veterinary Emergency & Triage Services (GVETS) is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our rapidly growing overnight emergency hospital in beautiful Oconee County, Georgia.
Officially opened on November 11, 2025, GVETS is a brand-new 6,300 sq ft ground-up construction facility designed specifically for advanced emergency and critical care medicine. We are proud to be one of only two overnight emergency veterinary hospitals serving Oconee County and the surrounding region within a 50-mile radius.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an emergency clinician who wants more than simply “another ER job.” We are looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine, mentorship, team development, and helping shape a hospital with enormous long-term potential.
Schedule
Our hospital operates:
Monday–Thursday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Friday 6:00 PM continuously through Monday 8:00 AM
Open 24 hours throughout all major holidays

2 fully equipped surgical suites
Brand-new endoscopy system
Two advanced Ligasure surgical platforms
Comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities
Digital radiology
Full-color Doppler ultrasound
Multiple portable AirScan ultrasound units
Centralized wireless ECG telemetry capable of simultaneous multi-patient cardiac monitoring
Modern ICU and treatment areas
Entirely new facility and equipment throughout

Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
Strong emergency and surgical technical skills
Confidence managing urgent and critical care cases
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
A passion for mentorship and staff education
Motivation to help grow and elevate a young hospital
A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
Emergency experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated clinicians eager to continue developing their emergency skillset in a supportive environment.
