Emergency Veterinarian – Aroostook Animal Emergency Services
Location: Aroostook County, Maine
Schedule: Rotating Shifts | Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities
Join our newly established veterinary emergency practice for small animals and exotics. We are looking for experienced veterinarians to help grow our team.
About the Role:
We are seeking at least two experienced emergency small animal veterinarians to help us build and grow our hospital. Ideal candidates will be comfortable handling both surgical and critical care cases, including:

Surgical procedures: GDV, splenectomy, foreign body removal

Critical care: Addisonian crisis, toxin ingestion, DKA

Bonus skills: basic fracture repair, endoscopy, pocket pets/exotics
- Emergency experience preferred, but not required.
Current Operating Schedule
We are currently open Thursday through Sunday, with expanded hours planned as we grow our team.
Thursday: 4:00 PM – Midnight
Friday: 4:00 PM – Midnight
Saturday: 12:00 PM – Midnight
Sunday: 4:00 PM – Midnight
Our hours reflect our current staffing, as we are operating with a single veterinarian. As we bring on additional veterinarians and support staff, we anticipate extending both our hours and availability.
No full overnight shifts required!
