VETERINARIAN High Quality and Affordable Veterinary Service Corp d/b/a Friendly Animal Hospital in Huntington Beach, CA seeks Associate Veterinarian to provide med, diag, & surgical care to companion animals. Provide direct patient care, engage in client comm & collab w/vet supp staff to ensure optimal health outcomes. Perform phys exams, diag med conditions & dev comp treatment plans. Interpret diag results inc. bloodwork, radiographs, & ultrasounds. Admin anesthesia, inc. perform pre-anesthetic eval, patient risk assess & select anesthetic agents. Perform surg procedures inc. spay & neuter, soft tissue surg, mass tissue removals, & orthop surg. Prescribe meds & treat. Comm w/pet owners re diagnoses, treat options & preventative care. Maintain accurate med records in accordance w/clinic protocols & reg standards. Collab w/techs & supp staff to ensure efficient & compassion care for companion animals. Req DMV degree, or for equiv & CA Vet License; Must have: Ability to perf phys exams, diag med conditions & dev comp treat plans; Ability to perf soft tissue surg & mass tissue removals; Ability to admin anesthesia inc. perform pre-anesthetic eval, patient risk assess & select anesth agents; Ability to use stetho, oto, ophthalmo, syringes & needles, X-ray & ultrasound mach, scalp & surg instruments, micro, anesth mach, IV caths, & dental equip; Ability to work on weekend (1 weekend day/wk); Ability to work late hours (until 8PM PST); & Ability to work in 2 hosp locations in Orange County. 2 openings.
