Veterinarian – Small Animal
Full-Time | Flexible Part-Time (up to 32 hours per week considered)
Geelong & Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria
Salary commensurate with experience
We are seeking an experienced and confident Small Animal Veterinarian with a strong interest in surgery to join our friendly and supportive team. This position is available on a full-time basis, with flexible part-time arrangements (up to 32 hours per week) also considered.

Established more than 55 years ago, Kardinia Veterinary Clinic has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality veterinary care throughout Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula.
Our Geelong hospital operates as a walk-in clinic, supported by proven queue management systems and immediate triage protocols that create an efficient and streamlined workflow. Our branch clinics across the Bellarine Peninsula operate as appointment-based consultation clinics, providing variety across our network.
We pride ourselves on delivering excellent patient care within a progressive, well-equipped clinical environment supported by experienced veterinarians, highly skilled nurses, and approachable leadership.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian with a keen interest in surgery who is looking to establish a long-term, rewarding career within a respected regional practice.
The role includes:
- Full-time position, with flexible part-time arrangements considered.
- Alternating Saturdays (8:30 am – 12:00 pm) and one in four Sundays (9:00 am – 12:00 pm).
- Immediate start available.
- Small animal general practice with a surgical focus.
- Medicine and consultations.
- Soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
- Emergency and urgent care presentations.
- Working across our network of clinics when required.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least 3 years’ experience in small animal practice.
- Holds a veterinary degree with current registration in Victoria.
- Has a strong interest in surgery and enjoys developing their surgical skills.
- Is an analytical and confident clinician with sound diagnostic abilities.
- Is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
- Communicates effectively with both clients and colleagues.
- Enjoys collaborating within a supportive team environment.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Values building long-term relationships with clients and the local community.
- There is also the opportunity to develop a particular area of clinical interest with support from the practice.
