About Us
Northridge Vets is a newly remodeled, full-service animal hospital located in Northridge, California.
Formerly Porter Pet Hospital, our practice transitioned to new ownership in late 2024 and has since been completely renovated.
We are building something new and intentional, a modern veterinary hospital designed to support high-level medicine without the pressure of corporate environments. We are privately owned, not corporate, with no quotas or production pressure. Our focus is on fostering a collaborative, supportive culture where veterinarians can thrive, grow, and genuinely enjoy practicing medicine.
With over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine, our leadership team is committed to building a practice that values quality care, teamwork, authenticity, and long-term growth.
Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Veterinarian to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine with true clinical autonomy, supported by a skilled technical team and a positive hospital environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to fully utilize their skills, have their voice heard, and grow within an evolving practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care, including exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans
- Perform soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate closely with technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care
- Communicate effectively with clients, including education and treatment recommendations
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture
Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Active California veterinary license or ability to obtain one
- Strong clinical and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
