Description
Acupet Veterinary Care is seeking a Veterinarian to join our Veterinary Health team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to companion animals while building trusted relationships with pet owners. You’ll diagnose and treat a variety of conditions using both traditional and innovative approaches. This position offers strong professional growth opportunities, collaboration with skilled colleagues, and participation in advancing treatment options to ensure optimal animal health and client satisfaction.Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and wellness care to companion animals, including examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and follow-up care
Develop individualized treatment plans that integrate traditional veterinary medicine with innovative and complementary therapies as appropriate
Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and long-term health plans
Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including anesthesia planning, monitoring, and post-operative care
Interpret laboratory results, imaging, and other diagnostics to guide clinical decision-making
Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records in compliance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and front-desk staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care and client experience
Participate in continual learning, case discussions, and training to stay current with advances in veterinary medicine and innovative treatment approaches
Contribute to a positive, team-focused, and compassionate clinic culture, supporting colleagues and assisting with case management as needed
Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, behavior, and wellness programs to promote long-term animal health
Small animal general medicine
Small animal surgery (spay/neuter, soft tissue)
Anesthesia and pain management
Diagnostic interpretation (lab work, radiology, imaging)
Preventive care and wellness planning
Client communication and education
Medical recordkeeping and practice management software use
Team collaboration and staff supervision
Emergency and critical care stabilization
Knowledge of innovative and integrative veterinary therapies

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
Active, unrestricted state veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain) in the state of practice
USDA APHIS Category II accreditation or eligibility (preferred, for health certificates and regulatory work)
Professional liability insurance eligibility
Experience with small animal medicine and surgery in a clinical setting
