• The anticipated starting base salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $220,000 to $280,000 per year.
In your day-to-day, you will:
• Manage complex internal medicine cases spanning gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, infectious disease, endocrine, hematologic, and respiratory conditions.
• Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures including ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, CT, and other specialty imaging modalities to guide diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate closely with Emergency clinicians, surgeons, and other specialty team members to provide comprehensive management of shared patients and referrals.
• Coordinate consultations, referrals, and patient transfers across specialty and emergency services to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Utilize advanced hospital resources including ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, ICU support, and specialty diagnostics to support exceptional patient outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians through collaborative case management, consultation, and proactive communication.
• Guide pet owners through complex medical conditions with empathy, transparency, and confidence, helping them make informed decisions regarding their pet's care.
• Mentor technicians, assistants, externs, and support staff as part of daily case management while fostering a collaborative and educational clinical environment.
• Pursue opportunities to expand your expertise in advanced ultrasound techniques, interventional radiology procedures, and electrochemotherapy (ECT) training.
• Participate in continuing education, mentorship initiatives, and teaching opportunities that support both personal growth and hospital-wide clinical excellence.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture focused on innovation, teamwork, learning, and exceptional patient care.
What You Bring
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or Residency Trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
