Description

We are looking for 3rd or 4th year veterinary student that wants to get some real-world experience.  Do you want to be involved and know what it is like in a general practice?  Do you want to be able to be involved in every aspect of small animal medicine, not just your basic vaccine clinic or spay and neuter clinic?  

• You can expect to assist in surgeries, everything from your basic spay and neuter to foreign bodies, tumor removals to orthopedics.  
• Perform physical exams and along with the doctors and develop treatment plans
• Run diagnostics and know how to interpret the results, along with knowing how to read radiographs.
• Be involved in decision-making and case discussions with the doctors
• Communicate with the clients
• Learn to function in a real clinic 
• Work hard but laugh - a lot

We are looking for students that will:

• Want to grow in their knowledge

This opportunity will typically be a 3 week block, but we can be flexible for longer or shorter times.  

Requirements

Must be a 3rd or 4th year student at an accredited Veterinary School.
