North Torrington Veterinary Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, nestled in the foothills of Lichfield Hills a charming New England town. Our goal is to provide compassionate and quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family.
We aim to provide or clients with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. We strive to give our customers the best personalized service possible and to create a friendly, professional work environment for our awesome staff!
Who We're Looking For:
We are currently looking to hire an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.
Requirements:
- 3 years or more of Veterinary Technician Experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus. Experience working with these tools is even better
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Has experience with proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint
- Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
- Excellent communication and ability to gain strong organizational skills while working together as a team.

Pay Range: $20.00-$25.00 based on experience
Weekly Hours:38-40 hours Full-time with full-time benefits
Shift: Day Time
